Fluentd is maintained by its community. If you have a question or hit a problem, start with the channels below. They are all free to use, and answers come from other users and from maintainers when they have time.

Forum

Got a question? Have some cool Fluentd-related projects? The forum (GitHub Discussions) is the place to be. It is a good fit for how-to questions and for design discussions before you write a configuration.

Issue Tracker

Do you think Fluentd has a bug? Do you wish Fluentd could do X? File an issue on GitHub. Please attach the steps to reproduce it, otherwise nobody can act on the report. Do not report a vulnerability here. See Security Advisories for how to report it privately.

Slack #fluentd

Join our Slack channel!, register to get an invitation and stay in touch. Chat is good for a quick question, but it is not suitable to dig into the problem, so the forum is a better place for anything worth keeping.

Knowing what the community can and cannot do saves you time when something is urgent.

• There is no guaranteed response time. Your question is answered when somebody has time for it.
• Maintainers decide what to work on and when, so you cannot raise the priority of your own issue or feature request.
• Whether a fix is backported to an older release depends on the support policy of that release. See Fluent Package Maintenance Releases.
• Nobody can look into your production environment, your configuration or your logs for you.
